Over 2,000 visitors and 150 volunteers helped to support and raise over $ 66,000 for the ministry of Friendship at FEST 2009!  God graced our days with beautiful weather.

The Goose Creek Boys (above) with their bluegrass music entertained a large crowd Friday evening.  After the concert many people enjoyed soft serve ice cream and hot dogs since the chicken BBQ meal was SOLD OUT! Over 1,000 chicken BBQ meals and 200 chicken halves were sold by 6 pm.

Oregon Dairy (above) so generously sponsored the tasty pancake and sausage breakfast.  Thanks to Oregon Dairy for their energy and giving spirit so early in the morning.

Local television and radio personalities, Jere Gish, Lisa Landis and Mike Stike (above) used their comical talents to auction specialty items.  Which one raised the most money for the ministry of Friendship? Lisa Landis from WJTL raised $370, Jere Gish from WGAL raised $445 and Mike Stike from WDAC raised $600.

Throughout the day, guests were able to bid on items during both silent and live auctions.  Baked goods, plants, crafts and gift certificates were available to purchase as well. heART of Friendship artists proudly showed off their talents by displaying their beautiful artwork.

Children enjoyed the many activities at the kid's tent; face-painting, bouncing castle, spin art and decoupage crafts, games and pirates making balloon characters!

The food tent offered a wide variety of items. Some favorites were Ethiopian and pork BBQ, as well as decadent baked goods made by local church groups. Ice cream and baked goods were a big hit this year!

Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the success of FEST 2009!!!!
