Friendship staff make it possible for adults with
developmental disabilities to live in the community.
Duties
include:
•
Preparing meals
• Assisting with personal care
• Light housekeeping
(bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Record keeping
• Transporting Individuals in
agency
vehicles
• Some positions require lifting
and use of lifting equipment
• Assisting with everyday skills
On the job training provided
Requirements
for direct care positions:
•
Must be 18 years of age.
• A valid drivers license with a good driving record.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Supervisory positions require post high school education.

LIFE SHARING PROVIDERS
A
Life-sharing host family invites an adult
with developmental disabilities to move into their home to provide necessary
care and to share their lives for a period of two years. Life Sharing
providers can be singles, couples or families.
