Private Pay Services of Friendship Community
Use P/FDS (Person and
Family Directed Support waiver funds) or personal funds to cover fees.
However, 40% of the people served are in residential programs funded by private funds including donations.
Effective in 2007, Friendship Community is able to provide additional services through the Private Pay Programs outlined below.
Fees are to cover the cost of the individual’s
care and will not displace people currently receiving services nor will it
replace Friendship Community’s mission to serve those on the county’s PUNS list
(Prioritization of Urgency of Need).
Programs can be paid with private funding,
P/FDS (Person and Family Directed
Support waiver funds), personal funds or a combination
of these sources to cover fees.
Personal
Care Homes
Individuals
can live in one of our spacious and comfortable personal care homes with other individuals and caring house parents.
Individuals are provided with room and board, medication
monitoring, recreation and transportation. Contact

Support Services
provided at the individual’s home
1.
Life
Skills Support- our staff will come out to the individual’s home and
provide ongoing assistance with life skills training or accompany them
to appointments for a fee of $25 per hour (minimum of 2 hours).
2.
Ongoing
Daily Support- our staff will come to the home of the individual to
provide support on a regular schedule during day time hours for
a fee of $20 per hour with a minimum of four hours per day.
3.
Event
Support- our staff will accompany individuals for support during a
one time event (like a wedding or vacation).
Fees
§
$25 per hour for
the first six hours ($100 or 4 hour minimum)
§
$18 per awake
hour for additional hours
§
$40 per night of
sleepover or $80 per night of sleep if staff works less then 5 hours before
sleep.
§
IRS rates for
transportation of the individual.
Additional mileage and travel time charges may apply if the staff must travel
over 20 miles to the site
§
You would also be
responsible to pay for any tickets or other event costs for the staff and
individual.

Respite Services
Respite Services provide short term
care in your home or at one of our Respite Care Provider homes.
This can be for care when the caregiver needs a short break
or vacation or other times when the caregiver
is not able to care for their loved one for a limited time.
Fees for Respite Service:

At a
Respite Provider’s house-$120-150 per day based on needs of the
individual
§
At your
home-$25 per hour for first 6 hours (with minimum of $100) and $18 per
awake hour for the remainder of the day.
$40 per night of sleepover if staff works over 5 hours before sleep or
$80 per night of sleep if staff works less then 5 hours before sleep.
