Options in Residential Programs
Friendship Community's mission is to provide Christ-centered supports and services to strengthen each person and enable them to attain their maximum potential.  This includes residential services that allow maximum independence.  Options include group homes, apartments, and lifesharing opportunities.

Support Services
Including respite care, counseling, consultation, seminars, retreats, advocacy, worship & church inclusion support and parent support groups.

Recreation and Social Programs

Friendship Community encourages and supports various recreation times and special events for members of the Friendship Community and the surrounding communities.  For the annual calendar of events.

Friendship Inspection Results

The Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs recently conducted its annual licensing review of 14 Friendship Community homes which fall under their oversight. Four homes were randomly selected for a full review and we are proud to report that deficiencies were few and minor in nature.

ODP staff pointed out that Friendship Community has “some of the nicest homes we visit.” There were no deficiencies related to maintenance or the physical aspects of the homes. Friendship was commended for the nice furnishings, individualized resident rooms including personal effects. The ISPs are well done, connecting likes and dislikes with the resident’s overall life interests.  

Medical Histories are well written and comprehensive, providing solid, reliable information to both Friendship staff and medical personnel involved in the resident’s care. Having a nurse on staff was also noted as a positive aspect of the services provided by Friendship Community.

The remaining ten homes were reviewed for compliance with fire safety regulations. We are pleased to report that no deficiencies were found.

This is the result of outstanding teamwork, attention to details and a commitment to provide excellent support to those we serve. We are grateful to our generous God who gives us all we need to accomplish His work!
