Supported and Semi Independent Apartment Living
|
|

Group Homes with Additional Support |
|
Individuals
with developmental disabilities are often able to live on their own when they are provided support services.
Friendship
Community owns
several apartment buildings and provides subsidized rental to those with
limited income.
One complex
provides Semi-independent Living. Individuals have
their own
apartments. Staff live on site in one of the apartments to provide
support. The community joins together
for activities and some meals.
This gives staff more involvement in the daily lives of individuals who need
it.
|
|
Some
individuals have multiple needs
including mobility and emotional needs. Friendship Community has homes
that provide specialized care that
often requires one on one staffing and specially adapted housing.
Find out about
employment
opportunities including houseparent, support and direct care staffing by
contacting
Patricia Wilkerson at 717-656-2466 ext 162.
