The Friendship Community Worship Team
|
The
Friendship Community Worship Team is a group of adults who have
developmental disabilities and who are associated with Friendship
Community, a Christian-based service provider from Lancaster County,
Pennsylvania.
The Worship Team consists of two groups- The
Friendship Singers and The Creative Movement Team. |

The Friendship Singers, a choral group,
enjoy singing
hymns, gospel songs and praise chorus songs.

The Creative Movement Team performs a
combination of
interpretative dance and sign language to recorded music.
|
|
|
|
|
Both of these groups use their talents to express
worship to God.
The team performs an average of 20 programs per year and have also
traveled to western Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Each program is adapted to fit
various settings.
The program can include any combination of
the following:
- Friendship Singers
- Creative Movement Team
- Scripture memory
- Input by staff and residents
- A biblical view of disabilities
- Or a slide presentation telling about the ministries of Friendship
Community.
- Programs can be scheduled for Sunday mornings or evenings or other
special occasions.
