~ Allegra Print & Imaging In 2006, Friendship Community embarked on a new business venture, providing employment for Individuals with disabilities who had difficulty with traditional employment settings. The vending route began with providing employment for one Individual, Glenn Weaver. Glenn worked for several years with his sister, Lorraine, assisting her with the delivery and stocking of beverage machines. After some time, Lorraine donated the machines to Friendship Community. The vending route currently employs two Individuals – Ted and David. Friendship Community hopes to provide more hours of employment for Ted and David by adding more businesses to their route.Here’s how you can help:
- Have Ted or David stock your office machine or refrigerator with beverages.
- Purchase a machine that FC can place at a prospective business.
- Make a donation to help purchase a new machine.
