Clinical Care Advisor
I. TITLE:
Clinical Care Advisor (CCA)
II. DEFINITION AND BASIC FUNCTION:
This position supports the organization’s work in developing new and enhanced services, compliance in Behavior Support area, and assuming advisory roles in various Professional Clinical Services and supports (Behavior Support Services, Human Rights Team, Hospice Team, and Aging in Place/Dementia initiatives and Vacancy Intake Team).
III. ACCOUNTABILITY:
The CCA is directly accountable to the Director of Operations and ultimately the CEO.
IV. AUTHORITY:
The CCA provides supervision and advisory input to the clinical services team comprised of Behavior Support and other Teams related to Aging in Place, Dementia, Hospice and vacancy. The CCA has access rights to Care Tracker, EIM, HCSIS, Elsevier, HRST, and DCI.
V. RESPONSIBILITY:
a. Demonstrate a respectful and positive attitude that promotes service excellence to Individuals, fellow Team Members, families and / or the general public
b. Direct supervision of Behavior Support Team as outlined in QA&I, and lead responsibilities related to vacancy, hospice, and aging in place/dementia initiatives, including leading Teams, facilitating meetings, and creating systems and processes
c. Researches and assists with the service delivery and development of clinical care services in accordance with the organization’s mission and values
d. Assumes the role of a certified investigator
e. Assumes a caseload in behavior support
f. Supports the consistent implementation of policies, procedures and systems throughout the assigned areas
g. Reviews policies and procedures regularly, making appropriate changes as necessary with approval from the Director of Operations
h. Participates in conferences, workshops and seminars to enhance knowledge of current trends and practices in the field
i. Other duties as assigned
VI. WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time hourly position which is eligible for over-time pay (as approved).
It is expected that the CCA will work 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday, (40-hour work-week), with the flexibility to work non-scheduled hours to handle emergencies, appointments and other duties based upon staffing needs.
VII. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Clinical Care Advisor must have a Master’s degree related to human services (as defined by QA&I to provide supervision in the area of Behavior Support and oversight of the Human Rights team) and a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the supervision and management of human service programs.

XI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
