What happens when you give extra? YOU meet needs, empower dreams, facilitate excellence and more! Adults with Intellectual Disability and Autism face challenges and barriers in life that can be especially significant. They often confront both personal, physical and cognitive obstacles as well as external challenges from the world and culture we live in. For almost 50 years, the Christian ministry of Friendship Community has been helping Adults with Intellectual Disability and Autism, to Impact the World with their Capabilities. We are grateful for how God has worked through your vital partnership. We'd like to invite and encourage you to consider supporting Friendship Community through this year's Extraordinary Give.
What happens when YOU give extra? Let's meet Kandi! When you give extra, YOU meet her needs - and others like her. One of Kandi's favorite things to do is to help with the cooking and baking in her home. She especially loves to make stuffed shells, lasagna, spaghetti and garlic bread! YOUR gift of $500 can help provide residential homes like Kandi's with 2-4 weeks of healthy groceries to create the dishes she loves.
What happens when YOU give extra? YOU empower her dreams - and others like her. Kandi has been a heart Artist at Friendship Heart Gallery since 2011! She has been able to develop confidence and skill as a professional Artist and form meaningful relationships. YOUR gift of $200 can help provide essential art supplies for Artists like Kandi to continue growing her skills and expressing her capabilities.
What happens when YOU give extra? YOU help her to grow. Kandi attends EARS during the week and grows her vocational skills. Two of the things she enjoys most about attending EARS are helping in the Autism classroom and assisting other Individuals with crafts! YOUR gift of $100 can help provide 2 tanks of gas so Individuals like Kandi can get to work at a job she loves and excels at.
What happens when YOU give extra? YOU facilitate excellence. Kandi loves spending quality time with her Team Members - doing activities such as going to the gym, day trips to New York City and visiting the museum of the Bible. YOUR gift of $50 can help Team Members like Tina provide excellent care by covering mandatory First Aid & CPR training to keep her safe while in the community.
What happens when YOU give extra? YOU meet needs, empower dreams, facilitate excellence and more! Thank you so much for your support of Adults with Intellectual Disability and Autism, through Friendship Community.
